Pros and cons of Samoa Language app for iPhone and iPad

Samoa Language app good for

So happy my husband found this app for me. My father is from Samoa and while I understand the language and use small phrases and words everyday, I have never been confident enough to hold a whole conversation with my dad and family, now I can. Awesome app. Needs a little work with more words and being more interactive but great start.
Great learning app! My wife loves it and I get to learn her language. Please keep adding more to this app and update!
Ever since owning the iPhone in 2007 Ive been looking for a Samoan language app. I love the language, served my mission there, but have no one to speak to... Great app to help me remember.
The Samoan dictionary is extremely useful especially when I need a quick translation.
Definitely be able to catch up with my own language since Ive been out of the samoan community
This is an excellent quick reference guide. It is definitely worth the money to buy this app, and upgrade from the free dictionary version. I would also be willing to pay more for additional features, such as more audio examples, and some lessons to work through with audio examples. People pay hundreds of dollars for language learning software ( Rosetta Stone ) so why not spend some time and so something similar for the iPhone and iPad ? I would buy it.

Some bad moments

Its an okay app.. I like the audible part so you can hear how its suppose to sound however the lady says it way to fast for beginner and theres not a very large selection of phrases to hear. Also every 2 minutes or so the twitter page pops up to follow them very annoying. Other then that its an okay app pretty helpful but needs alot of work !! Nice start though !!! Good Job!!
Im grateful for the availability of this app, and a big faamalo to those that have made it possible. However, it needs much improvement. Some words are translated incorrectly and some are defined under the wrong context. Based on the reviews, Im guessing most are learning the language. If youre looking for alternate words (which can be derived from a definition) or proper Samoan words, this app provides neither.
I was hoping I could look up a word and have it pronounced. No luck. Paid the extra for phrases. Didnt even have the word i was looking for. That and if i wanted to learn any phrases, like others said, the lady speaks a little too fast to get every syllable correct. Frustrating and disappointing!
I purchased this ap with a couple of grammar phrases. Now it is not included unless I purchase an upgrade. Im sure that is not legal, to take away something that was originally purchased. Please restore original version, or I file a complaint with Apple. Thanks.
I did an "update" and it was actually a downgrade. It took away the audio feature and now wants to charge me more!? That is not an "update", that is a bait and switch. I feel cheated. I would like to go back to what I previously had. Is that possible?!?!
It looks great! Really nice, but considering I had to repurchase the inapp purchases, it put a foul taste in my mouth. Cmon... Stop charging double and Dont give Samoans a bad name. Suggestion: • have a place that uses common phrases that are used to teach / discipline children. • have a place that explains and uses slang terminology. • stop being so greedy
